P.S: It looks like I’ll have to make a separate page for the Monday Questions too!
Today’s question is:
Do You Think Blogging Will (Or Has) Become Like Politics?
To elaborate, do you think that blogging will (or has) become dirty politics? I mean, bloggers becoming fiercely competitive, and harming competition by doing stuff like flaming, lying and the like…
My Answer
will have to wait. I’m interested to see what you guys have got to say. I’ll post my answer later

Manufacturing controversy is definitely a fast track to high readership, so many bloggers will take that route. Each of us has to set our own boundaries though.
While I’m comfortable taking a controversial position on a popula topic I’m not going to go as far as to insult people or really condemn someone’s organization. I might be able to get away with that if I were a professional blogger or if I had a publisher to support me but since blogging is merely a hobby I can’t very well go around dropping the hammer on folks.
I think, for the most part, the blogging world will stay friendly. During my time spent promoting my blog, I have found that the best way to gain readers is by building community and networking with other bloggers. Plus, with the many, many choices in blogs out there to read (in comparison to the narrower choice of politicians in a “the lesser of two evils” sense), if a blogger were to start lying or doing anything else malicious, readers could easily unsubscribe. Maybe after a year in blogging, I will change my mind, but so far, I do not see that happening in the blog world.
That is the freedom of blogging. It also enables peoples voices to be heard. But blogging is just some one opinion, as it always will be.
