PBF 2.0 is Out!

Welcome to PuttingBlogsFirst version 2.0! Nice theme, eh?

Why Did I Change?

The old theme had become too messy and haphazard. Things were here and there, and there was no good law and order. Also, it had become a headache for me to try to update and maintain that theme since its stylesheet and other files were full of complicated junk. That’s the reason I decided to change.

The new theme is based upon the original Grid Focus by Derek Punsulan of 5thirtyone. It’s a great theme and many of the top bloggers are using it. I’ve changed quite a few things in it, such as the list styles, link colours, etc. One of the things I’m happy about is the comments section. The previous one was crap, and all messed up. This theme’s comments section is a breeze, all neat and clean. There’s the comment number at the left of every comment, and author comments are styled differently and have the word ‘Author’  written on them. And much more. Try it yourself by leaving a comment!

I’ve also made a few monetization changes here. There’s the four-box ’sponsors’ up-there with four rotated 125×125 boxes. (At the moment, two are available. Book your spot now!). Anyways, to increase reader interest, there’s also a new ‘Top Commentator’ (which resets every month) and ‘Recent Comments’ list.

So, that pretty much sums all the stuff up. And oh yeah - I know I haven’t been posting any stuff on this blog for several days and I’ve also missed my target of  3 posts per week this week. But try to understand: I was at work with this theme for several days, and I also had my studies, all these took up my time. So, I’m sorry. :)

There’s bound to be bugs and cockroaches in this theme, so please don’t hesitate to tell me (leave a comment) if you find one! Be sure to let me know about your feelings about this new theme! Thanks
