What Makes You So Special?
Yo there! If you are new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed, or through email, for more tips on better and effective blogging!
Welcome to another edition of the Monday Questions… think through this one and answer . Enjoy!
Today’s question is rather an exercise, but one that’s most likely to make you rethink your goals:
You have a blog and all, but have you really wondered about what value your blog offers to your readers? Why is it important enough to be subscribed to?
In other words, this is the time you can really ponder over what your blog really is all about. Do you need to change your goals?
So, this is the perfect place to speak your heart out about why your blog is what people need. What do your services have that others don’t? Why are you more authoritative?
Looking forward to your answers!

Honestly, I don’t know what makes my blog special. And my first goal is in fact to find that exact thing… I need to find a path, that’s my first objective.
But I figured that I would find one by writing and not by thinking what I should blog about or trying to find a niche… So anyway, I don’t think that my blog is that special, yet, but I’m just a beginner! So I could say that my first objective is to find my “blog voice” and my “blog style” and then I’ll be able to be more special.. I hope
Great question, Muhammad!
Given that I haven’t found any blogs like it, I do think my blog is special. Whether it’s “special” as in “special needs” or special because it provides a service, only time and readers will tell!
My blog is all about the writing community in the Second Life virtual world. It’s a way to let writers know about all the writing and networking opportunities there, as well as share a few of my personal adventures in Second Life. Since I’m “addicted” to learning new things, I’ve spent a lot of time gathering information about the SL writing community. I’ve also built a writers’ center there and regularly host visiting authors. So I hope I can give other writers some tips that will help them.
The blog is less than 3 months old, so we’ll have to wait and see what the ultimate verdict on “special” is.
Your blog, on the other hand, has been exceedingly helpful to me!!
Thanks!
Joan
I like to think the value I give to my visitors is a approach to blogging. I teach people how to improve their blogging - but from personal situations. Plus I like to consider myself active on my blog, helpful, and approachable.
