The One Thing That Can Make You Successful
- Mahatma Gandhi
Writers who just sit around reading tips on how to write, but never actually write themselves can never learn to become good writers.
You cannot learn to swim just by reading how to swim; if you don’t even touch the water, you can never learn to swim.
It’s the same with everything. You can read on how to do something, but unless you actually do it yourself, you cannot learn! A good chef doesn’t spend all day going over cookbooks; she puts her newly acquired knowledge to use: application.
It’s The Same With Blogging
Sure, you can sit and read hundreds of “blogging about blogging” blogs all day. Read thousands of recycled blogging tips and SEO advice and so on. But, if you don’t put it into practice, it won’t do you any good. Believe me. It’s the same as with swimming, writing and cooking. You have to put what you learn into practice!
That is the only way you can be successful. Believe me: to success, there is no black hat method or shortcut. It’s hard work. Ask your nearest millionaire
What You Should Do, Instead Of What You Do
Instead of reading multitudes of meta-blogging blogs everyday, why not try to stop doing so? Blogging about blogging blogs (like the one you’re reading right now) can only take you so far. In fact, every authority blog in every niche can only take you so far. The final step is to be taken by you. And that’s why you need to put into practice what you learn. As they say, practice makes perfect
So, my suggestion to you is this: stop reading so many SEO and blogging tips. You have your own blog: try out what you learnt. Experiment with different solutions, and find the perfect one.
Note: This doesn’t mean you should stop reading authority blogs in your niche altogether. These blogs are your guides. But they are merely a means to an end. These blog tell you the correct route to travel. You have to make the journey yourself

You are right with that muhammad.. because if you read and read and read… You will miss the best part of blogging.. Trying.. You have to read then test it, retest it if possible… and then read again..
You don’t have to sleep, wake-up, read, sleep, wake-up, read.. TEST it if what you read is true. There are millions of new information a day and you can’t read or try everything.. But trying one of them is a better choice.
Muhammad
I like your point about swimming (learning), you must get into the water. A hands on approach if you will. I like to say, practice makes permanent not perfect but I get the idea.
Keep it up! Cheers,

Hey Miguel,
It’s more like practice makes perfect in what is practised.
thanks for dropping by
Most people are afraid of failure. This prevents them from taking action. But they must understand that failure is a way to success
Good advice, but even applying what one reads and learns is no panacea for getting ahead in the blogging game.
These days, virtually every blogger wants traffic and most want to make money, which has resulted in the majority of blogs becoming nothing more than billboards for ads. It is what it is, but I’m ready for that aspect of the internet to be reinvented.
I agree. You need to actually just plunge in and start writing. And write about what you care about – that is a big key I think. Great writers can probably write about most things well, but most people do better writing about what they have passion for.
I have a few blogs and find that the ones I post to more often are the ones that are closer to my passions-in other words how can you write about dogs when you love cricket-follow your heart niche, then you will write long interesting posts-I have now got rid of so many blogs I thought would be good-example:stamp collecting, what the hell did I know about that-days of research using other peoples tips and advice, nothing unique from me! It folded real quick thank goodness,so I could concentrate on niches I new something about- Sorry to rant on-Keep writing guys-just remember how Harry Potter came about-A dream in a mind put down in writing!
That is so cool, timing was amazing, content riveting for kids and adults-Take Care
