What would be your number one tip for increasing traffic to a blog?
If someone was starting a new blog (or already has), and is looking to build up traffic to their blog, what would you suggest as the most important method?

Write good articles and market them! Three ways: ezinearticles.com, Digg, and Facebook.
But, make sure the articles are REALLY good. I usually let my readers decide that and pretty much rely on Feedburner to tell me which articles have been popular. Each week I look at my most popular article, then market it.
if i ever happen to stuck with only one option to promote my blog and drive traffic, i would write great content with killer article and then head to blogs, add value to the discussion,
if your content is good enough and if you comment on at least 10 blogs a day you can guarantee your self decent traffic every day, remember that blogging is all about networking with other like minded people, if you have good network of blogger behind you then you can assure your self a decent traffic every day.
There is no secret formula for that. The most important is ‘Quality Content’. Then comes promotion. Social Media and strong networking works very well.
Write about what you feel passionately for. That’s it. The rest will follow in its own time.
Be involved! Comment on other blogs! Link to other blogs! Make friends on social networks and spam them with links to your blogs! (Well not really spam, but posting a link when you have a new blog post doesn’t hurt)
